About Enable Web3
Enable Web3 is an independent research initiative exploring privacy-first digital identity and trust infrastructure inspired by the original Web3 vision: user-controlled, privacy-preserving, and verifiable digital interactions. The work focuses on applying advanced cryptography to real-world problems where sensitive data must be verified or shared without unnecessary disclosure.
Current Work: Bank ID
Bank ID is a research prototype that explores a new model for sharing financial information: instead of broad consent or full statement sharing, it enables users to present verified attributes and cryptographic proofs with minimum disclosure and strong user control. This work is currently at the concept and prototype stage.
Focus Areas
The initiative currently explores three technical areas:
Privacy-enhancing cryptography for secure data sharing (verifiable credentials, selective disclosure, zero-knowledge proofs)
Quantum-safe security, including crypto-agility concepts and transition tooling ideas for post-quantum readiness
Privacy-preserving AI workflows, including secure aggregation and encrypted inference patterns where feasible
Vision
Digital systems should not force users to trade privacy for convenience. The goal of Enable Web3 is to contribute practical architectures and prototypes that enable trusted interactions while keeping individuals in control of their data.
